Present at the Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday evening to watch Real Madrid’s 3–0 victory over Manchester City, Zinedine Zidane did not go unnoticed. The former Merengue coach was inevitably asked about… a potential return to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid appears to be back on track, and Zidane was there to witness it. As he left the stadium, the 1998 World Cup champion was approached by El Chiringuito and questioned about his future.

Zidane Laughs Off Questions About His Future

Zizou was first pressed about the French national team. His response was simply a smile, without a word. Then came the inevitable question about a possible return to Real Madrid. Zidane burst out laughing before continuing on his way.

True to his usual discretion when it comes to discussing his future, the former France number 10 ultimately agreed to answer only one question, this time about the evening’s performance: “I’m very happy for Fede Valverde,” he said, referring to the midfielder’s hat-trick.
