Chelsea has set its sights on Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga for a potential blockbuster transfer in the summer of 2026.
The 22-year-old midfielder is seen as the key to forming a formidable trio alongside Enzo Fernández and Moises Caicedo, according to reports from Fichajes.
While Real Madrid is actively pursuing French talents like William Saliba and Ibrahima Konté, they may face a departure of their own. Camavinga has garnered interest from Newcastle and Manchester United, in addition to Chelsea’s ambitions.
The London club is reportedly willing to offer around €60 million for Camavinga. However, Real Madrid, who signed him from Stade Rennais in 2021 for €31 million, has no urgent need to sell, given that his contract runs until 2029.
Chelsea’s Ambitious Pursuit of Camavinga
Madrid is likely to demand a much higher fee, making it challenging for Chelsea to convince the player to leave one of the world’s top clubs. Camavinga’s departure would not be an easy sell.
Additionally, Fichajes suggests Chelsea may explore a swap deal involving Enzo Fernández, who has been frequently linked to Real Madrid. This move, however, could be complicated as Chelsea still owes a significant amount of the €121 million spent on the Argentine, presenting a challenging path forward.
