Chelsea continues its summer recruitment drive with the signing of Brazilian striker Joao Pedro from Brighton for €58 million.
Just days before their Club World Cup quarter-final clash against Palmeiras, Chelsea has confirmed the signing of Joao Pedro, 23, from Brighton. The Brazilian international, who recorded 10 goals and 7 assists in 30 Premier League matches last season, joins on a long-term deal running until 2033.
Pedro becomes the fourth player in three years to move from Brighton to Chelsea, following Marc Cucurella, Robert Sanchez, and Moisés Caicedo.
He joins fellow new signing Liam Delap (Ipswich) as part of Enzo Maresca’s revamped attack, with the Blues also pursuing Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Dortmund.
