Harry Maguire’s story at Manchester United might be far from over. Despite past criticisms and transfer rumours, the 32-year-old centre-back could be on course to finish his career in red.
According to The Daily Mail, United have rejected several offers from English and Italian clubs this summer for the former Leicester man. Bought for €87 million in 2019, Maguire is still under contract until June 2026.
Now, the club’s intention is reportedly to offer him a contract extension, allowing him to stay at Old Trafford until retirement. Talks have yet to begin, but Maguire is said to be keen on the idea.
Once a lightning rod for criticism, Maguire’s resilience and solid 2024–2025 season (27 games, 1 goal) have seemingly convinced the Red Devils that he still has a part to play — and possibly, a legacy to build.
