Manchester United’s 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the Europa League final will have lasting consequences. While Ruben Amorim will remain as head coach for at least the start of next season, major changes are expected in the squad.
The club has set sale prices for several players. Rashford, currently on loan at Aston Villa, will be sold for €47 million (£40 million), while Antony, loaned to Betis Seville, will leave for €38 million.
Jadon Sancho, who is on loan at Chelsea, could return to Old Trafford with a €30 million buy option, though it could be canceled for a €6 million penalty. The former Dortmund player, who cost €85 million in 2021, hasn’t been a standout at Chelsea.
Other Departures and New Targets
In addition to these players, Rasmus Højlund, bought for €77 million, could also leave. United is looking to strengthen their attack with players like Liam Delap (Ipswich) and Matheus Cunha (Wolverhampton), but securing them would require around €110 million.
Tyrell Malacia will also be put on the transfer list, while Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelöf will be released. Jonny Evans will retire. Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes may also be sold. It’s shaping up to be a very busy summer transfer window for Manchester United.
