Mathys Tel to Tottenham, A long-term bet for Spurs

Done deal: Mathys Tel has completed a permanent move from Bayern Munich to Tottenham Hotspur, signing a contract until 2031.

The 20-year-old French striker, who spent the last six months on loan in North London, has convinced Spurs to trigger the purchase option. Despite not playing in the Europa League final, he contributed during the campaign with 13 Premier League appearances, 2 goals and 1 assist.

A long-term bet for Spurs

Originally signed by Bayern for €30 million (£25.4M) in 2022, Tel never fully settled in Germany. But his promise was enough for Tottenham to spend €35 million (£29.6M) on a permanent deal, according to German media.
