After months of speculation, Alphonso Davies (24) has decided to extend his contract with Bayern Munich until June 2030, putting an end to rumors linking him to Real Madrid.
Bayern’s Stability Convinced Davies
His agent, Nedal Huoseh, explained that Bayern’s long-term project and the club’s stability played a key role in the Canadian left-back’s decision : “Real Madrid was undoubtedly a serious option, and we had conversations with them, as well as other clubs. But in the end, a decision had to be made: staying at Bayern Munich. It’s always an honor for any player to receive an offer from such a club, but ultimately, we had to choose.” (Winwin)

Davies’ commitment reflects mutual trust between him and Bayern, as the club continues to see him as a key part of its future : “Sometimes, clubs that frequently change their squads can harm a player’s career.
