FC Barcelona will lose a huge legend this summer. On Instagram, Robert Lewandowski officially announced that he will leave Barça at the end of the season after four years in Catalonia.
Robert Lewandowski is making way for the next generation. The 37-year-old Polish striker, who arrived in 2022 from Bayern Munich, shared an emotional message to thank the club, the fans, and president Joan Laporta for the adventure.

“After four years of challenges and hard work, it is time to move on. I leave with the feeling that I accomplished my mission. Four seasons, three league titles. Catalonia is my home. Thank you to everyone I met during these four incredible years. Special thanks to president Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career. Barça is back where it belongs. Visca Barça, Visca Catalunya,” wrote the Polish forward.
With 119 goals scored in 191 matches for Barcelona, Lewandowski leaves a massive mark on the club’s recent history. The striker also thanked the supporters: “I will never forget the love I received from the fans from the very first day,” he added.

Now set to become a free agent in June, Lewandowski could continue his career in the United States or take on one final challenge in Italy. One thing is certain: a major chapter is coming to an end at Barça.
