Lionel Messi back at Barcelona? It’s still far from reality, but according to El Nacional, such a comeback could be extremely profitable for a club still drowning in financial trouble.
If Messi were to return to Barça, the Catalan side estimates it could generate around €200 million in just twelve months, thanks to the enormous commercial power of the Inter Miami captain. Even a short-term loan could bring in close to €100 million — an incredible sum for just a brief spell.
For now, no concrete talks have taken place. But numbers like these make a Messi comeback look far more plausible than it seems. And in recent days, a curious detail has reignited speculation.
A loan from Miami?
Messi was spotted at the Camp Nou recently without notifying FC Barcelona, a surprise visit that caught the club off guard and instantly fueled rumours. Officially, the Argentine was in Catalonia for personal reasons, yet his presence inside the club’s facilities set the rumour mill spinning again.
With the massive economic impact Messi still represents, the optimistic financial projections, and his unexpected visits, some Barça executives and fans are beginning to wonder…
Could the Pulga really wear the blaugrana shirt once again?
