No Kylian Mbappé at training on Wednesday. The France and Real Madrid striker stayed home quietly… after a wild getaway to Dubai and a fresh wave of controversy.

Mbappé did not take part in Real Madrid’s training session on Wednesday, just like the other internationals who were given several days off by the club. The Frenchman, expected back on Friday for a full session before a likely start on Sunday against Elche, is still dealing with ankle pain, but Real remain unconcerned.

Controversy, “diplomatic injury,” and padel

At the same time, the striker has become embroiled in yet another controversy: ruled out of France’s match in Azerbaijan due to ankle inflammation that supposedly required medical tests in Madrid, he was spotted the very next day… in Dubai.
