Arsenal have pulled off a huge move on the transfer market… from within. According to David Ornstein, Bukayo Saka has reached an agreement with the Gunners to sign a new five-year contract on significantly improved terms.
Still according to the journalist from The Athletic, the 24-year-old England international, currently tied to Arsenal until June 2027, will extend his stay until the summer of 2031. The final details are being finalized, but the framework of the deal is already in place.
Arsenal secure their star for the long term
This new contract has a clear objective: to recognize Bukayo Saka’s status among the best wingers in Europe. A pillar of Arteta’s project and both a technical and symbolic leader, the Englishman has become one of the faces of Arsenal’s resurgence in recent seasons.
With this extension, the Gunners secure their crown jewel and send a strong message to Europe: Saka is untouchable. A top-priority file closed, and a huge relief for the club’s supporters.
