Real Madrid isn’t wasting any time. Even before his transfer is officially announced, Dean Huijsen (20) is already preparing to wear the famous white shirt—starting with the Club World Cup opener on June 18 against Al Hilal.
According to the BBC, the Bournemouth centre-back has received clearance from his current club to join Madrid immediately after the Premier League season ends.
Early Arrival Secured
The Spanish giants will pay the first installment of Huijsen’s €58 million release clause, including a bonus to bring him in before July 1. His medical is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20.
With Rüdiger, Alaba, and Militão all injured, and Vallejo set to leave, Xabi Alonso—who will coach the team during the Club World Cup—will rely on Huijsen as an immediate boost to his depleted defense.
A Key Face for 2025–26… Starting Now
With Trent Alexander-Arnold unable to join until his Liverpool contract expires, Huijsen will be one of the first standout signings of the new Real era, making his mark as early as June.
The future of Madrid’s backline begins now.
