Speaking at a press conference this Tuesday, Paris FC coach Stéphane Gilli praised the arrival of Ciro Immobile, signed from Bologna, highlighting the unchanged motivation of the 35-year-old Italian striker.
The coach believes the prolific forward has nothing left to prove after his career achievements. “What he has done throughout his career is score goals and bring experience, and that’s what he will give us. I think he has nothing left to prove. When I spoke with him, I still felt the fire and a strong desire. He’s a competitor. He told me that when he wakes up in the morning, he still thinks about scoring goals. I expect him to score as many as possible for us,” said the Paris FC manager.
A veteran striker fully committed to the club’s project
The coach also explained that he will not try to teach him his trade. “I told him I’m not going to teach him how to score goals or how to move. What I felt is that he is interested in our project and that he likes the way the team plays and the kind of football we produce.”
“He has all the qualities to be of great service. I won’t tell you how many, but the two of us have made a bet on the number of goals he will score,” Gilli added.
