Spain has been buzzing in recent hours: Atlético de Madrid want to make a big splash by signing Kang-in Lee.
According to L’Équipe, the Colchoneros have even contacted PSG to sound out the situation. An interest that is not new, since the Madrid club were already following the South Korean back in his Valencia days. But in Paris, the answer was immediate: no.
PSG Slam the Door on a Key Asset
And that refusal has a face: Luis Enrique. Internally, the Paris coach has been clear: there is no question of letting Kang-in Lee go. Already last summer, when the player was considering leaving, the Spaniard had managed to convince him to stay. Since then, the bond between the two men has only grown stronger.
For Luis Enrique, Lee is a luxury joker: versatile, creative, able to play in several positions and perfectly suited to his playing project. As a result, Simeone can insist as much as he wants, the file is completely locked.
Under contract until 2028, Kang-in Lee is simply not for sale. There may be a review next summer, but the message is crystal clear: PSG will not budge and count more than ever on him for the next phase of the project.
