Atlético Madrid: Rodrigo De Paul set to join Messi and the Barcelona alumni at Inter Miami
It’s almost a done deal: Rodrigo De Paul (31) is leaving Atlético Madrid to join Inter Miami this summer. According to Fabrizio Romano, a verbal agreement has been reached between all parties, with a transfer fee estimated at €15 million. The Argentine midfielder will sign a four-year contract with the MLS franchise.
De Paul will reunite with Lionel Messi, but also with several former Barcelona teammates already in Miami: Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suárez. It’s a true blaugrana colony being reinforced by De Paul, Messi’s fierce ally and World Cup-winning teammate.
Inter Miami continues to build an ambitious and experienced squad, with the clear goal of dominating MLS and expanding its global influence.
