A reunion between Neymar and Lionel Messi seems imminent, as the Brazilian forward is expected to leave Al-Hilal. However, Inter Miami won’t be able to afford Neymar due to the strict salary cap rules enforced by the MLS. This was made clear by Javier Mascherano, Miami’s head coach.
“I can’t speak about Neymar because there’s nothing happening. Of course, he’s a great player, and every coach in the world would love to have him, but at this moment, we know the MLS rules regarding the salary cap, and unfortunately, it’s impossible for us to have him right now,” Mascherano explained.
Inter Miami will need to offload players first before making a move for Neymar. Could the target be summer 2025?
