Just one year after leaving for Saudi Arabia, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be on his way back to Marseille.
According to Foot Mercato, the Gabonese striker — who scored 30 goals in 51 matches during the 2023–2024 season — is in talks with Olympique de Marseille for a sensational comeback.
Now 36, Aubameyang is preparing to terminate his contract with Al Qadisiyah, where he still impressed with 21 goals in 36 games. Despite a somewhat bitter departure, club president Pablo Longoria may be open to bringing him back — and at a bargain price.
Marseille will have to move fast
But OM won’t have it easy. Several clubs from the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, and MLS are also interested. If Roberto De Zerbi wants to reunite with the former fan favorite to boost the club’s Champions League ambitions, Marseille will have to move fast… and negotiate smart.
