Despite growing rumors and the club’s interest in Lucas Chevalier, Gianluigi Donnarumma is still a PSG player — for now. The Italian goalkeeper, under contract until 2026, has not packed his bags just yet.
Exit still uncertain
Talks with PSG over a contract renewal have stalled. The club wants to reduce his base salary and increase performance bonuses, but Donnarumma’s camp has rejected the proposal. Still, a departure isn’t set in stone — a renewal remains possible if terms change.
Journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin confirmed: “It’s far from over for Donnarumma at PSG.”
Chevalier deal not done
Luis Enrique is pushing to bring in Lucas Chevalier from Lille, who’s seen as Donnarumma’s successor. PSG is preparing an offer below €40M, but LOSC won’t sell under that price. The northern club also wants to secure a replacement before greenlighting the transfer.
According to RMC Sport, Lille is already working on backup options, while PSG keeps applying pressure on Donnarumma — either accept the new terms, or move on. A shock move to Turkey could be on the table if no agreement is reached.
One thing’s clear: PSG is preparing for the post-Gigio era. But for now, the story isn’t over.
