Paris Saint-Germain continue to make moves in the goalkeeping department. Just hours after officially confirming Renato Marin’s loan to CD Nacional, the capital club announced the arrival of Alessandro Longoni.
PSG have signed Alessandro Longoni and loaned out Renato Marin. The 18-year-old Italian goalkeeper has joined PSG until June 2031. Trained at AC Milan, the Como native will wear the number 16 shirt in Paris. It is another bet on the future for the French club, which continues to invest in young players with high potential.
PSG Reshuffle Their Goalkeeping Setup
Alessandro Longoni already has solid experience at youth level. An Italy international since the U15s, he won the U17 European Championship with the Squadra Azzurra in 2024. The 1.92m goalkeeper is particularly valued for his shot-stopping ability and his quality with the ball at his feet.
His arrival comes after the temporary departure of Renato Bellucci Marin. The 19-year-old goalkeeper has been loaned for one season to CD Nacional, in the Portuguese top flight, with no option to buy. The objective is clear: to allow him to gain playing time and continue his development.
Longoni therefore numerically replaces Marin in the Parisian squad. For his part, Renato Marin remains tied to PSG, who retain control over his future. “I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain and I will continue to work as I always have in order to repay this trust,” Alessandro Longoni said after signing. With this double move, PSG are adjusting their goalkeeping hierarchy: Marin heads to Portugal to gain experience, while Longoni arrives from Milan to continue his development in Paris.
