It is now official: Fran Garcia is no longer a Real Madrid player. The 26-year-old Spanish left-back has left Los Blancos to join Real Betis in a deal estimated at €4 million.
Fran Garcia officially departs the club to sign for Betis. However, Real Madrid have retained an interest in his future, reportedly securing a 50% sell-on clause in case of a future transfer, allowing them to benefit from any potential profit.
Fran Garcia leaves Madrid to revive his career at Betis
Garcia was no longer part of Real Madrid’s plans, especially following the arrival of Marc Cucurella this summer at left-back. Facing strong competition, the Spaniard will now look to relaunch his career in La Liga with the Verdiblancos.
At Betis, Fran Garcia has signed a four-year contract running until June 2030. The defender leaves Madrid aiming to secure more playing time and establish himself in a new project.
His departure also reflects Real Madrid’s intention to trim their squad after several moves this summer. For Betis, this represents an experienced addition, trained at Madrid, capable of adding depth and competition on the left flank.
