The Vinicius Junior file is far from closed. While everything seemed close to being settled just a few months ago, talks between Real Madrid and the Brazilian winger have stalled since the Club World Cup.

However, according to AS, Los Blancos are preparing to restart negotiations in the coming days. Under contract until June 2027, Vinicius remains central to the Madrid project despite a turbulent season marked by tensions with Xabi Alonso and a sometimes strained relationship with the Bernabéu crowd.

Contract Talks and Financial Expectations

Internally, no one questions his sporting importance or his desire to commit long-term to Real Madrid. The main sticking point remains financial, as the player’s camp is asking for a salary increase in line with his status, while the club wants to maintain wage control.
