Zinédine Zidane has rejected a massive one-year contract worth over €100 million from Al Hilal, choosing instead to stay the course toward his dream job: the French national team.
According to L’Équipe, the Saudi club wanted the legendary coach to lead them into the 2025 Club World Cup with a jaw-dropping deal. But Zidane, true to form, said no.
The Blues or Nothing
The message is clear: Zidane is holding out for Les Bleus. He has long made it known that he’s only interested in coaching again when the France national team becomes available—most likely after the 2026 World Cup.
His refusal reaffirms both his personal integrity and his unshaken ambition.
Al Hilal Eyes Inzaghi Instead
With Zidane out of the picture, Al Hilal may now turn to Simone Inzaghi, fresh off a Champions League final with Inter Milan. Another big-name coach could soon land in Saudi Arabia.
