Kevin De Bruyne’s time at Manchester City is officially coming to an end — and he won’t be part of the squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

According to The Times, the club has already made the decision to move on from the Belgian playmaker this summer, marking the end of a decade-long era.

Now 33, De Bruyne will not feature in the Club World Cup as both he and the club want to avoid unnecessary risks. His final season has been plagued by injuries, and City are set to begin a new cycle without one of their all-time greats.
