After being heavily beaten by Paris Saint-Germain (0-4) in the Club World Cup, Lionel Messi delivered the perfect response with Inter Miami in MLS. The Argentine superstar netted a brace in his side’s convincing 4-1 win over CF Montréal last night.

Back in the MLS rhythm, Messi helped turn things around after Owusu had put Montréal ahead.

He provided a crucial assist for Allende’s equalizer (33’), then struck just before halftime (40’), and sealed the victory with another goal in the 62nd minute — shortly after Segovia had made it 3-1 (60’).
