Manchester City may well be Pep Guardiola’s final challenge in football. The Spanish coach has shut the door once and for all on a return to FC Barcelona.

Asked by the English press about a possible comeback at the Camp Nou, Guardiola was blunt: “Barcelona? That’s over. Over forever. It was beautiful, but it’s done.”

A powerful statement from the Catalan tactician, who made history at Barça between 2008 and 2012 — transforming the team into a near-invincible force. During his tenure, he won two Champions League titles and three La Liga trophies, while establishing a legendary playing style. But for Guardiola, those glory days are now part of the past.

Despite what some see as a disappointing season, Guardiola has extended his contract with Manchester City until 2027. His focus is now fully on rebuilding his squad after the departure of several key veterans.
