Ronald Araujo is experiencing severe mental distress. His coach, Hansi Flick, was the first to clarify the situation: it is indeed a mental-health problem, not a gastroenteritis as the club initially stated. Supported by his entourage and the entire locker room, the player is currently working on his recovery, but the context demands caution and patience.

“It’s more serious than we thought. Araujo’s situation is truly grave, and we’ll have to see whether he ever plays for Barça again. It’s a complicated situation,” was reported on Cope.
