Thiago Silva has not forgotten Paris. In a long interview with L’Équipe, the former PSG captain looked ahead enthusiastically to life after his playing career and clearly left the door open to a very special return to the French capital.

Thiago Silva also draws inspiration from the work of Luis Enrique and other top managers, from Pep Guardiola to Thomas Tuchel, not forgetting Roberto De Zerbi, despite him currently coaching Marseille. Playing philosophy, identity, balance: the former defender wants to win without betraying his ideas.

Before that, Silva mainly wants to finish his playing career properly. But the message has been sent, including one to PSG supporters. Having left quietly during the Covid period, the Brazilian would like to return to the Parc des Princes to say goodbye. “And maybe see you soon,” he adds with a smile. For now, Thiago Silva as PSG coach remains a dream, but in Paris, some dreams do come true.
