It is the end of a rich but unfinished journey at the highest level. Rafinha officially announced on Monday evening the end of his professional career. At 32, the Brazilian attacking midfielder had been without a club since the expiration of his contract with Al-Arabi SC in 2024.
Rafinha hangs up his boots for good—without leaving a lasting memory at PSG. Trained at FC Barcelona and having played for Celta Vigo, Inter Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain between 2020 and 2022, Rafinha experienced a career marked by strong promise, but also by numerous setbacks.
A Discreet Spell in Paris
At PSG, his time will be remembered as low-key. After a few solid performances early on, the Brazilian never truly managed to establish himself over the long term. The post-COVID period weighed heavily on his sporting decline, leading to a gradual disappearance from the rotation.
While he will not leave a major mark on the history of the Parisian club, Rafinha departs with a clean image: always professional, respectful, and never one to settle scores. A quiet exit, much like his time in Paris. But who will remember it? Probably very few supporters.
