A massive shock at the Parc des Princes! Paris Saint-Germain have been knocked out of the Coupe de France by Paris FC (1-0) in the Round of 32, in a totally unbelievable scenario. Dominating the game from start to finish, PSG ran into a wall named Obed Nkambadio, who produced a sensational performance filled with crucial saves.
Chance after chance came and went for Ramos, Barcola, Zaïre-Emery and Kvaratskhelia, but the Parisians simply could not find a way through. And as so often in this kind of cruel script, they were punished on the first real opportunity for the opposition: a lightning counter-attack in the 73rd minute, finished off by Ikoné after a Kebbal–Camara combination.
PSG, a huge disappointment
The introductions of Dembélé, Doué and Nuno Mendes changed nothing, and Zaïre-Emery even hit the crossbar late on. A huge disappointment for PSG, total heroics from Paris FC and their goalkeeper, and one of the biggest upsets in recent Coupe de France history.
