Stade Rennais did try to pull off a nice move in this transfer window. In search of an attacking midfielder, the Breton club inquired about Giovani Lo Celso, currently at Real Betis.

Lo Celso nearly returned to Ligue 1. On the pitch, Lo Celso has remained an important player this season with 17 appearances and 2 goals in La Liga.
