Throwing fries is forbidden. Yes, it’s a real stadium rule — and no, it’s not a snack-bar joke. The Brest club issued a very serious statement to remind supporters of this.

Fries are tasty, but they are not projectiles. After a recent match in which Toulouse players were hit by a shower of fries coming from the Brest stands, the club felt compelled to issue what sounded like a “food safety” style warning.
