PSG faced an early scare in the opening minutes of the Classique against OM. Vitinha came very close to being sent off after a dangerous challenge that could have proved extremely costly for the Parisian side.

In the 9th minute, the Portuguese midfielder was booked for a late and forceful tackle on Balerdi. The referee showed a yellow card without hesitation, but the situation could easily have escalated to a straight red given the impact. From the Paris camp, there were claims that a Marseille foul had occurred just before the incident.
