Major setback for Kylian Mbappé. The French striker for Real Madrid did not take part in collective training this Thursday, for the second consecutive day. Troubled by knee pain, he remains doubtful for Saturday’s La Liga home match against Real Sociedad.

The Madrid club is considering the possibility of having to do without its offensive star. Mbappé followed an individualized training program indoors on Wednesday and Thursday. The coaching staff is now waiting to see whether he will be able to return to group training on Friday.

His potential absence would be a real blow for Madrid. The top scorer in both La Liga and the Champions League, Mbappé has scored 38 goals in 31 matches across all competitions. He could join the list of absentees alongside Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Éder Militão.

Second in the league with 57 points, Real could temporarily take the top spot with a win on Saturday against Real Sociedad, currently eighth with 31 points.
