Special guest on RMC’s show “Les Nuits du Cazarre Enchaîné”, Eden Hazard spoke about the almost yearly negotiations with PSG and his repeated refusals, despite persistent approaches from the Parisian club.

Why Hazard never wanted to join PSG despite strong interest

“Every year I had contact with PSG,” Eden Hazard admitted on RMC. “In my mind, it was very clear. When I left Lille, I told myself: ‘I don’t want to come back to France for any club other than Lille. PSG still had strong arguments. “It was a great club. Nasser (Al-Khelaïfi) would come, there was a lot of money, there was always a team built to compete in the Champions League,” he recalled. But that was not enough to alter his career plan. “Things were going so well at Chelsea, and my dream after that was to go to Real, not to PSG and then to Real.” A path mapped out in advance — and a story that will now never be written any differently.
