PSG Is Much Better Without the Divas Mbappé, Neymar and Messi

Vitinha takes aim at Messi, Neymar and Mbappé: PSG plays much better since the three Parisian stars left the club. The Portuguese midfielder, who joined PSG in 2022, experienced the famous Messi-Neymar-Mbappé trio firsthand. A dream lineup on paper… but far less convincing in the locker room and on the pitch, according to him.

In an interview with Canal 11, Vitinha admits that Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé are among “the greatest players in the history of football.” But behind the compliment lies a clear criticism: their presence did not truly benefit the Parisian collective.

Vitinha Criticizes the Lack of Defensive Effort from PSG’s Former Stars

“You cannot afford to have one, two or three players who don’t run,” he says bluntly. In his view, the current PSG version is far more balanced. He highlights the defensive commitment of attackers like Ousmane Dembélé and Gonçalo Ramos, who are able to press high and act as the team’s first defenders.
