On the eve of the Champions League round of 16 first leg between PSG and Chelsea, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia shared a more personal story in an interview with Le Parisien.
Teammates on the pitch but rivals for attention at home, the Georgian winger revealed that his one-and-a-half-year-old son is already passionate about football and can recognize several Paris Saint-Germain players. His favorite, however, is none other than Bradley Barcola.
A Young Fan Already Obsessed with PSG Players
“Whenever my son sees someone, he says ‘Daddy goal, daddy goal’ to point at me. He loves football. We look through photo albums and he already knows almost all the PSG players,” Kvaratskhelia explained.
One player’s name, though, comes up more often than the others. “Barcola is his favorite. As soon as he sees him, he repeats his name: ‘Bacola, Bacola, Bacola…’,” the Georgian international said with a smile.
The anecdote is particularly amusing considering the two players often compete for the same spot on the left side of PSG’s attack. This season, Kvaratskhelia has recorded 9 goals and 6 assists, while Bradley Barcola has posted 10 goals and 5 assists for the Parisian club.
