Marquinhos started alongside Willian Pacho during the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Chelsea, a match that ended in a 5-2 victory. However, the PSG captain played this game while dealing with a difficult personal situation.

During the week, the Brazilian defender had to handle a family issue that prevented him from attending all the team’s training sessions. With the support of the Parisian staff, he was ultimately able to take his place for the match.
