A major scare for Noa Lang. The Dutch winger for Galatasaray suffered a serious injury on Wednesday during the Champions League match against Liverpool, tearing off part of his thumb after colliding with an advertising board.
A shocking scene that left a strong impression, as his team endured a heavy defeat (4-0). The 26-year-old player was immediately treated and underwent surgery shortly afterward.
A Positive Mindset Despite the Injury
The very next day, Lang reassured his fans with a post on Instagram. Smiling from his hospital bed alongside medical staff, he chose to downplay the situation with humor: “Sh.. happens,” or in other words, “that’s life.”
Despite the severity of the injury, the Dutch international appears to be in good spirits while awaiting further information on how long he will be sidelined.
