It is now official: the French national team is set to return to its historic stadium. The French Football Federation announced this Friday a major agreement with GL events for the operation of the Stade de France over the next 30 years.

This partnership is part of the new concession granted by the French state to GL events in June 2025. It also marks the return of the French national team to their iconic home, following a period of uncertainty regarding their hosting venue.

Fans will not have to wait long. The French team will return to the Stade de France as early as October 2, during a Nations League match against Italy. A symbolic and strategic comeback, as they reconnect with their historic home in a now stable long-term setting, perhaps with another World Cup celebration on the horizon.
