At 31, the Portuguese attacking midfielder is preparing to turn a major page in his career. Featuring 43 times in all competitions this season, he has been one of the cornerstones of the Citizens’ squad, thanks to his football intelligence and versatility.

Speaking at a press conference, Pep Lijnders, assistant to Pep Guardiola, confirmed the news with strong words: “You never replace a player like Bernardo Silva. He is unique in the way he understands and controls games… But every great story comes to an end. He deserves to leave with honors.”
