An unusual scene took place during the FA Cup clash between Manchester City and Liverpool FC (4-0). Substituted in the second half, Rayan Cherki and Hugo Ekitike swapped shirts… nothing out of the ordinary at that point.

But what followed quickly caught everyone’s attention. Sitting on the bench, Cherki decided to put on his former teammate’s shirt… while the match was still ongoing. A prohibited situation that was swiftly pointed out by a member of the coaching staff.

A spontaneous moment that went viral

Caught in the act, the City player immediately took off the shirt, smiling as he did so. A light-hearted and spontaneous moment that quickly spread across social media.
