Paris Saint-Germain strengthened their position at the top of Ligue 1 after Matchday 28, taking advantage of RC Lens’ heavy defeat in Lille to widen the gap. PSG now leads by four points, with a game in hand.

At the bottom, the situation is worsening for FC Metz and FC Nantes, both still in the relegation zone, while Auxerre remains in the playoff spot. Speaking at a press conference, coach Pierre Sage offered a clear assessment: “Yes, the title race has taken a hit. It’s something we’re experiencing. But our goal is Champions League qualification. As Lille picks up three points, we have to look over our shoulder and step on the gas.”
