Having spent a turbulent season at Olympique de Marseille, Jonathan Rowe has reflected on his altercation with Adrien Rabiot, which took place last August following a defeat against Rennes.

A turning point in Rowe’s career

With hindsight, Rowe prefers to put things into perspective: “In life, everything happens for a reason.” He now sees the episode as a positive turning point in his career.

However, he admits his time at OM was not easy. He describes constant pressure, both internally and externally, where “every detail was magnified.” He also mentioned the tactical changes introduced by Roberto De Zerbi, though without bitterness, even thanking his former coach for the trust shown. Now more settled, Rowe appears to have found balance in Italy, far from the storm in Marseille.
