According to Foot Mercato, Matthis Abline is set to be one of the major stories of the next transfer window following FC Nantes’ relegation. With 8 goals and 7 assists this season, the 22-year-old striker is already attracting interest from several French and European clubs.
Could Matthis Abline be heading to Paris FC? Not necessarily. According to Foot Mercato, AS Monaco have already submitted an opening offer of €15 million excluding bonuses, which Nantes immediately rejected. Despite dropping into Ligue 2, Nantes’ directors remain extremely demanding and are hoping to secure a huge fee for their forward.
Nantes Hold Firm Amid Growing Transfer Interest
Paris FC are also said to have come back strongly in the race. Already interested last summer, the Parisian club sees Matthis Abline as a profile capable of breaking open defenses with his direct running and ability to decide a match through an individual move.
But the competition is far from purely French. Foot Mercato also explains that AS Roma and Crystal Palace are closely monitoring the Nantes player’s situation, while Wolverhampton remain attentive after showing concrete interest last summer.
Under contract until 2028, Matthis Abline now looks set to be one of the names to follow throughout the summer transfer window. And Nantes clearly have no intention of letting him leave on the cheap.
