Paris Saint-Germain may already have one of the first signings of their summer transfer window wrapped up. According to several Russian sources, Aleksey Batrakov is very close to joining the reigning European champions.
Aleksey Batrakov, a second Russian player at PSG? The 20-year-old attacking midfielder from Lokomotiv Moscow has been monitored by Parisian executives for several weeks. This time, discussions appear to have reached a significant stage.
Batrakov Closing In on a Move to Paris
Dmitry Cheltsov, one of the player’s representatives, expressed strong confidence regarding the outcome of the deal. “There is a 95% chance that Batrakov will join PSG,” he stated on the YouTube channel Komment.Show. According to him, Luis Campos is expected to travel to Moscow soon to finalize the transfer.
Still according to the same source, the deal could be completed for around €25 million. It would be a substantial but reasonable investment for a player widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Russian football.
For several seasons, PSG have focused on recruiting young talents with high potential. After João Neves, Désiré Doué, and Willian Pacho, Batrakov would fit perfectly into the club’s long-term vision. It remains to be seen whether negotiations will be successfully completed, but judging by reports coming from Russia, the move appears closer than ever.
