With the 2025-26 season now over, Paris Saint-Germain is already preparing for the next campaign. According to L’Équipe, the club’s official return to training has been scheduled for July 25 at the PSG Campus.
PSG’s pre-season will take place in stages. Players not involved in international duty are expected back at the end of July, but many others will return much later, with some not arriving until nearly September. Luis Enrique will be without a significant portion of his squad, as no fewer than 16 PSG players are set to compete in the 2026 World Cup with their national teams.
Special Schedule for PSG’s World Cup Stars
The club has established a specific plan for its internationals. Players eliminated during the tournament will be granted four weeks of vacation following their final World Cup appearance before returning to Paris.
Those who reach the final on July 19 will have only three weeks of rest before reporting back to the club. Time will be limited, as PSG’s first official match of the new season is scheduled for August 12 against Aston Villa, the Europa League winners, in the UEFA Super Cup.
With such a demanding calendar and several key players involved deep into the World Cup, Luis Enrique will have to carefully manage the start of PSG’s preparations ahead of another ambitious season.
