The rumors can stop. While several top European clubs were reportedly interested in Vitinha and João Neves, their agent Jorge Mendes has assured that the two Portuguese internationals will not be leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking to Fabrizio Romano, the renowned agent was crystal clear about the future of his two clients. “Vitinha and João were never an option for anyone. They are non-negotiable for Paris Saint-Germain,” he stated.
PSG Determined to Keep Its Midfield Stars
These comments confirm the Parisian club’s determination to retain the key figures of its midfield. Vitinha is coming off an outstanding season and has established himself as one of Europe’s finest midfielders, while João Neves quickly became an essential part of the squad thanks to his energy and consistency.
In recent months, both players had been linked with several major clubs, particularly in England and Spain. Real Madrid was frequently mentioned as a potential destination, but PSG’s management reportedly never considered opening talks regarding either player.
Mendes also highlighted how happy his clients are in the French capital. “They are very, very happy at PSG and they will continue to collect trophies,” he said.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid confirmed that a €150 million offer for Julián Álvarez had been rejected by Atlético Madrid, while the Argentine forward is reportedly interested in joining their rivals, Barcelona instead.
