Paris Saint-Germain continues to leave its mark on French football history, even away from the pitches of the 2026 World Cup. Thanks to recent goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola with the French national team, the Parisian club has claimed a symbolic new record.
According to Stats Foot, PSG players have now scored 19 goals for France throughout the history of the FIFA World Cup. This total makes the capital club the most prolific club in the history of the French national team in the competition.
PSG Surpasses a Historic French Club
With this new milestone, PSG overtakes the legendary Stade de Reims, which had long led the ranking thanks to the exploits of several French football icons during the national team’s early World Cup campaigns.
This achievement highlights PSG’s growing influence on the French national team over the years. Numerous current and former Paris players have made their mark on World Cup history, helping the club reach this historic tally.
The record could still grow in the coming weeks. With France already qualified for the knockout stage and several attacking players in outstanding form, PSG may extend its lead before the tournament comes to an end. It is another remarkable statistic that underlines the club’s impact on French football, even when PSG itself is not directly on the field.
