Arsenal have not given up on Bruno Guimarães. The Newcastle Brazilian midfielder remains a major target for the Gunners, who are preparing a fresh move to try to make progress in the deal.
After Tottenham, Arsenal are now ready to break the bank. And this time, it is for Bruno Guimarães. According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle have already rejected two bids for their player. An initial offer worth around €65 million was turned down, before a second approach of €75 million was also rejected by the Magpies.
Arsenal Ready to Raise Their Offer for Bruno Guimarães
But Arsenal could return with a much bigger bid. An offer between €75 million and €105 million could help speed up talks between the two clubs, although Newcastle remain in a strong position in this case.
For his part, Bruno Guimarães is said to be interested in a move to Arsenal. The Brazilian would reportedly welcome the chance to join the London club and become part of Mikel Arteta’s project. However, he does not intend to force a confrontation with Newcastle and wants to remain respectful toward his current club.
Arsenal will therefore have to convince Newcastle with a strong enough offer. The deal looks set to be expensive, but the Gunners appear ready to insist as they look to strengthen their midfield.
