Achraf Hakimi clearly hasn’t forgotten. During PSG’s dominant 4-0 win over Inter Miami in the Club World Cup Round of 16, the Moroccan right-back scored — and celebrated with a very pointed move: the penguin walk.
A celebration that’s anything but random. Hakimi first pulled it out after scoring the winning penalty against Spain in the 2022 World Cup — with Sergio Busquets on the opposing side.
A two year feud
Flash forward to January 2024: following Morocco’s elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations, Busquets posted a meme of a sliding penguin, mocking Hakimi. The jab didn’t go unnoticed.
Fast-forward to this week: Hakimi scores, Busquets is on the pitch… and the penguin is back. One goal, one celebration — revenge served cold.
